¿Quieres ser embajador de SAS?

Are you ready to become a
SAS® Student Ambassador?

Are you a student or do you know students who are using SAS® to conduct outstanding research projects? Do you have a tip or technique for using SAS that you want to share with the global SAS user community?

The SAS Student Ambassador Program is a competition designed to recognize and support students who use SAS technologies in innovative ways to benefit their fields of study.

Selected students are named SAS Student Ambassadors and will earn the opportunity to present their project to a global community of SAS users at SAS® Global Forum, April 4-7, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada. SAS will pay travel expenses and registration fees for the Student Ambassadors to attend and present their papers.

Call for applications

The deadline for submitting applications and all required materials — including an abstract and working draft of the student research paper — is Oct. 25.

Visit the program Web site to learn more about it and the application process.

What are the benefits for students?

For students selected as SAS Student Ambassadors, SAS will pay all SAS Global Forum 2011 travel, lodging and conference registration expenses. While at the conference, SAS Student Ambassadors will also have the opportunity to share their projects and interact with a global audience of SAS users, including researchers, business leaders, SAS experts and specialists from every industry and sector.

Who is eligible to apply?

Graduate and undergraduate students from around the world are eligible to apply to this program. Recent graduates may also be eligible to apply. The submitted project must have been conducted by a student within 12 months of the submission deadline. In addition, all applicants must have a strong command of the English language. Applicants will be required to submit papers, present projects and participate in question-and-answer sessions in English.

What types of projects are appropriate?

Appropriate projects can come from numerous areas of study and can use SAS in a variety of ways.
